(More customer reviews)We have had this range hood installed for over two years now. It's quiet, effective, and relatively easy to keep clean (it's nice that the filter mesh fits into the dishwasher!).

The only downsides so far have been a couple of quality issues. The light cover cracked when we installed it (even though we were careful not to overtighten the screw). The little red plastic cover for the power-on indicator has popped off a couple of times when I've reached to turn off the fan without looking (so, user error?). And, finally, the downdraft protection recently came loose; I'm not sure why the plastic gave up, if it was an installation problem or a quality issue. We pulled it out and haven't replaced it, because we're not sure how much we have to take apart to do the work (we had a contractor install it for us).

We're still happy with the way the range hood looks, and it performs pretty well for something that is hundreds of dollars cheaper than anything else of a similar style.

(More customer reviews)I bought this unit without being able to see one in person, so I wasn't quite sure what I would be getting. I wanted stainless, but didn't feel like paying $1000+ for a hood. I am happy to say it is a very attractive unit, well built, easy to install, and works reasonably well.

I say reasonably, and I don't have anything to compare it to, so take this with a grain of salt, because at the lower speed settings, it will not draw air/steam from the front burners of the stove. When set to high speed, it does a good job, and does direct everything coming off the stove top up the flue.

The stainless is relatively easy to clean, but the top of the hood will get greasy if the fan isn't on and you are cooking with oil. The lights are nice and bright, and the fan isn't nearly as loud as some of the commercial units, but it doesn't draw as well either. Overall this is a good unit at a great price for someone looking to spice up the look of their kitchen without breaking the bank.
