My first impression was that it was a lot bigger than I had expected, especially given the low price compared to other similar products. When I researched these at Lowes, the closest product they carry is over $150 and I like this unit better!
This design allows you to have a shelf, a towel bar and 4 hooks all within about the same amount of space a normal towel bar holder would take. An added bonus I have discovered is that because the towel bar is further away from the wall, our towels dry faster and more complete than when we used normal towel bars.
It does fold down, but I doubt I will use that feature much as I have plenty of towels to keep on the shelf! My last comment is that these "train style" towel racks are sharper looking than the normal "hotel style" that are fixed and straight lines. The curves of this help it catch more light to help highlight it. We haven't had anyone in our bathroom that hasn't noticed them and commented on them. It is a simple and inexpensive way to update your bathroom while adding more functionality at the same time.
